About the role
It is an exciting time to lead our school. In 2012 we will move to a new build co-location site alongside Mansel Primary in North Sheffield. Our new facilities will offer even greater opportunities to our children and our new Headteacher will be pivotal in shaping this exciting challenge. You will also be an active partner within the Sheffield Inclusive Learning Strategy, which will revolutionise SEN provision across the authority.
An exceptional leader and SEN specialist, you will have a a visible and influential role across the city, an ambassador for both our school and beyond. Community cohesion will be key, and you will continually strengthen links and prepare for the transition to our new build site and the fresh challenges that will bring.
You will develop a clear and shared vision for Woolley Wood School, actively seeking innovative opportunities and sustainable partnerships, whilst enhancing the current strength gained from our participation within the Yewlands Family of Schools. Through rigorous monitoring and evaluation systems you will develop an ethos of support, challenge and encouragement, setting demanding targets which we can all work to achieve together.
Above all, your biggest commitment will be to ensure the continued success of Woolley Wood School; by promoting children’s individuality and self-esteem within a stimulating, happy and secure learning environment
